GENIE 2: Something ancient stirs beneath them where once it was peaceful.
GENIE 1: A storm begins not with thunder but with a silence too deep to ignore. Now that silence is breaking.
SPIRIT 2: She was cast down, chained by power she couldn't control but power never forgets and neither does vengeance.

JAFARA: I have spent a small fortune to find this place.
DONG: My small fortune!
JAFARA: I have searched the libraries of the world.
DONG: With my library tickets!
JAFARA: I have spent years reading books. What did I get, Dong?
DONG: Thousands in debt for overdue library books?
JAFARA: I have found an innocent girl, who can enter the forbidden cave and get me the lamp that will make me the most powerful woman in the world.

JAFARA: This is the place!
LILY: Hello, what do you want?
JAFARA: I am Jafara.
DONG: This is Ding and I am Dong.
JAFARA: I want to talk to the empress. Are you her daughter, Jasmine?
LILY: No, I'm Lily and this is my sister Milly. Jasmine is our sister.
JAFARA: I did not know that my brother had three daughters.
LILY/MILLY: YOUR brother?
(Enter the empress)
EMPRESS: Go and do some reading girls.
(Exit Lily, Milly and Dong)
JAFARA: Your highness, allow me to introduce myself, I am Jafara, the sister of your late husband.
EMPRESS: You’re the emperors sister? Why have I never met you?
JAFARA: I've been living in a monastery, studying mystic arts. I have returned to meet you and your family. I am particularly interested in meeting Jasmine.
EMPRESS: What do you want to meet her for?
JAFARA: To go on an adventure.
EMPRESS: Don’t be ridiculous.
JAFARA: My mystic arts have revealed that she has hidden talents which can be used for the good of your people.
EMPRESS: How long would it take?
JAFARA: A couple of days.
EMPRESS: Two whole days. She's never been away from home before.
JAFARA: The adventure will lead Jasmine to a cave filled with riches. All that she can take will be hers. She can return the treasure to you and your people.
EMPRESS: LILY, MILLY!
(Enter Lily and Milly reading)
LILY: What is it?
EMPRESS: Sorry to interrupt your reading. Could you go and find Jasmine and tell her to bring her toothbrush.
LILY/MILLY: JASMINE! MOTHER SAID COME HERE AND BRING YOUR TOOTHBRUSH!
(Enter Jasmine)
JAFARA: So this is Jasmine?
JASMINE: You sent for me mother?
EMPRESS: Yes, there's a very important person here to see you.
JAFARA: I am your aunt Jafara.
JASMINE: Delighted to meet you.
EMPRESS: Jasmine, your aunt is taking you on an adventure to a whole new world.
JAFARA: It will only take two days.
JASMINE: Two whole days! I can't, I'm going to a carnival with Lily, Milly and Aladdina.
We are going to have so much fun!
LILY/MILLY: Bye!
JASMINE: Bye!

SCENE 2 - CARPET SELLER
JASMINE: Aladdina!
ALADDINA: Jasmine!
LILY: What should we do first?
JASMINE: Carnivals can be expensive. If only I was a rich girl.

(Monkeys cross)
ALADDINA: My uncle gave me some money. Should we look at the stalls first?
JASMINE: Brilliant idea.
FREDRICKA: Magic carpets!
ALADDINA: A magic carpet. How ridiculous!
FREDRICKA: This rug is magic. It can fly!
JASMINE: This carpet is quite dusty.
FREDRICKA: Yes, it's failed its M.O.T. but it still flies.
ALADDINA: What payment do you ask?
FREDRICKA: A very simple task.
Many years ago, I sold my mother's precious lamp. Find the lamp and bring it to me. Then the carpet will be yours completely free.
LILY/MILLY: That's awesome!
FREDRICKA: You can fix the carpet and sell it on Facebook.
ALADDINA: I will accept the task. Come on girls.
(Aladdina, Jasmine, Lily and Milly leave

JAFARA: Excuse me, have you seen four girls?
FREDRICKA: Yes, they were just about to buy a magic carpet.
JAFARA: A magic carpet how ridiculous

JAFARA: REALLY....which way did they go?
FREDRICKA: That way. (Points into audience)
JAFARA: Thanks. (Jafara goes into audience)
EMPRESS: Hello, have you seen four girls?
FREDRICKA: Yes, they went that way and there is a woman following them.
EMPRESS: That's their aunt Jafara! She wants to take Jasmine to a cave filled with riches.
FREDRICKA: That must be the forbidden cave!
EMPRESS: Anyway I have to go now toodles!
FREDRICKA: Bye!

SCENE 3 - CARNIVAL STALLS
LILY: Should we look at that stall?
LAMP SELLER: Lamps for sale!
JASMINE: Yes, maybe that's where Fredricka's lamp is.
ALADDINA: Let's go
MILLY: Excuse me, how much for that lamp?
LAMP SELLER: It’s priceless.
LILY/MILLY: We can't afford it.
LAMP SELLER: You could do me a favour. If you find my ring you could keep the lamp forever.
JASMINE: OK, let's go and find the ring.
RING SELLERS: Rings for sale!
ALADDINA: Hello we heard you sell rings.
RING SELLER 1: Yes we do and they're priceless.
LILY/MILLY: We can't afford it.
RING SELLER 2: You could help us and we'll give you a ring for free.
JASMINE: Yes please.
RING SELLER 1: Our brother the zoo keeper lost his monkeys. They've been missing so long, they're probably wild now.
RING SELLER 2: They were last seen roaming the desert. If you agree to find them we will give you this ring.
ALADDINA: Let me ask my friends.
(Aladdina, Jasmine, Lily and Milly huddle)
LILY: What should we do?
ALADDINA: Should we agree?
JASMINE:Yes, then we can get the lamp and return it to Fredricka.
LILY/MILLY: We have decided...
ALADDINA: We think that...
JASMINE: We will........
ALADDINA & JASMINE: Do it!
LILY/MILLY: Not do it!
JASMINE: WE AGREED TO DO IT
LILY/MILLY: Can't be bothered.
ALADDINA: LILY! MILLY!
LILY/MILLY: Fine!
RING SELLER 1: Great here's your ring.
RING SELLER 2: Good look finding the monkeys.
JASMINE: Lamp seller! Lamp seller, we got your ring.
LAMP SELLER: Thank you so much for getting it for me. As promised here's your lamp.
LILY/MILLY: Thank you!
LAMP SELLER: You're welcome.
ALADDINA: Now we can give the lamp to Fredricka.
JASMINE: Fredricka! Fredricka, we got your mother's lamp.
FREDRICKA: Thank you so much. You can keep it. I heard that you're going to the forbidden cave so I think you need it more than I do.
LILY/MILLY: REALLY?
FREDRICKA: Really.
JASMINE: Thank you! You're the most generous seller on this market.
ALADDINA: We'll be sure to let everyone on social media know how amazing your stall is.

FREDRICKA: Fabulous! Thank you. Can I join you on your journey to the forbidden cave?

(The lamp seller overhears the conversation and as the girls head past her stall, she calls to them.)
LAMP SELLER: Girls! I'm feeling super generous today and have decided to let you keep the ring.
LILY/MILLY: REALLY?
LAMP SELLER: Really.
ALADDINA: That's brilliant. We'll be sure to tag you on TikTok.
LAMP SELLER: How lovely! Thanks. Could I join you on your journey?
JASMINE: Absolutely!
RING SELLERS: Could we come to?
JASMINE: Of course. Let's go!
(Monkeys cross)
SCENE 4 - DEADLY DESERT
FREDRICKA: Why does your aunt Jafara want you to go to the forbidden cave?
JASMINE: I've no idea.
ALADDINA: Sounds a bit...
LILY/MILLY: Suspicious!
DONG: The cave is filled with treasure. I could help you on your journey. We could go without Jafara.
JASMINE: Sounds like a plan, my magical tigers could lead us there. (To tigers) Which way is it?
(Tigers point)
LILY: That’s what I was afraid of...Not that way...anywhere but that way!
MILLY: Calm down, Lily, it's only a pantomime.
LILY: But it can't be that way.
DONG: Why what's that way?
FREDRICKA: We'll have to pass through the deepest, deadliest part of the desert.
EMPRESS: The deepest, deadliest part of the desert.
FREDRICKA: Yes, the deepest, deadliest part of the desert.
ALL: AAAARRGGHH!!
DONG: Hello!
JASMINE: Hello!
EMPRESS: Hello!
MILLY: What is it?
ALADDINA: A monster!
LILY: What is it?

DONG: Stop messing about!
JASMINE: We have to get to the forbidden cave.
DONG: This part of the desert could have monkeys and mummies.
EMPRESS: I don’t want to be grabbed by the monkeys.
FREDRICKA: And I don't want to be grabbed by the mummies.
DONG: I know, let's all sing a song.
LILY: They say singing can scare mummies away.
EMPRESS: Your singing could scare anyone away!
LILY: Charming!
DONG: If you see any monkeys will you call out and let us know? Will you? Great!

FREDRICKA: Where are the ring sellers?

LILY: Yes, why can't it be called the really pretty desert where nothing deadly ever happens? We are not going first.

SCENE 5 - THE FORBIDDEN CAVE
JASMINE: The forbidden cave!
ALADDINA: How are you going to get into the cave?
JASMINE Dance magic!

(Dancers lie down)
ALADDINA: That was awesome.
JASMINE: (To audience) Have you seen any monkeys? Which way did they go? That way? Or that way? Definitely that way? OK
ALADDINA: THE CAVE HAS OPENED!
JASMINE: I'm not going in there first.
LILY & MILLY: Oh yes you are!
JASMINE & ALADDINA: Oh no we're not!
LILY & MILLY: Oh yes you are!
JASMINE & ALADDINA: Oh no we're not!
LILY & MILLY: Oh yes you are!
TIGER 1: Take the magic ring it will protect you.
JASMINE: How is it going to help me?
TIGER 2: It's helped so many people.
(They all enter the cave)
TIGER 3: Can you see any treasure?
JASMINE: No not yet.
TIGER 1: Just keep looking.
JASMINE: Wait a minute, I can see a lamp It's a bit dirty.
JAFARA: (Shouting from outside the cave) BRING IT TO ME!
TIGER 2: Hang on, what about the rewards.
JAFARA: BRING ME THE LAMP!
JASMINE: I don't think so auntie not till I get my reward.
JAFARA: You will never see your mother again if you don't give me the lamp!
JASMINE: It's so cold in here.
MILLY: Ooh look, I've found a ring!
LILY: That's two lamps and two rings we have now!
ALADDINA: They look so dirty. Shall we clean them?
JASMINE: Yes, let's rub the dirt off.
SCENE 6 - GENIES & SPIRITS

(Genies & Spirits of the Ring dance on)
GENIE 1: What is she doing here?
SPIRIT 1: Go away!
GENIE 2: You're always around us.
SPIRIT 2: No! That's not true.
GENIE 1: You're always appearing wherever we are.
SPIRIT 1: It's not our fault. Two people called us at the same time.
GENIE 2 : To be honest, everyone knows that we're the best!
SPIRIT 2: How dare you! We're definitely the best.
GENIES: Oh no you're not!
SPIRITS: Oh yes we are!
GENIES: Oh no you're not!
SPIRITS: Oh yes we are!
SONG 5 WHAT IS THIS FEELING
LILY: What's going on here?
JASMINE: You really need to stop fighting.
ALADDINA: Who are you?
GENIES: We're the GENIES!
SPIRITS: We're the SPIRITS OF THE RING!
LILY/MILLY: They're so pretty! We want to be them.
GENIE 1: Why do you have tigers?
JASMINE: They're magical tigers who protect me and lead me to wherever I wish to go. They led us to this forbidden cave.
SPIRIT 1: We are the spirits of the ring! Your wish is our command.
JASMINE: I can ask you for anything?
SPIRIT 1: You can.
JASMINE: Well get me out of this cave please.
SPIRIT 2: I am afraid the magic of the cave is too powerful for us, you must ask the genie of the lamp.
GENIE 2: Your wish is our command.
GENIE 1: What would you like for your first wish?
JASMINE: I want us all to be at the palace with my mother.
GENIE 2: All close your eyes and when you open them, your wish will come true.
SCENE 7 - THE PALACE
JASMINE: Aunt Jafara is a bad woman!
EMPRESS: What happened?
JASMINE: I went into the forbidden cave to find treasure. Then she threatened that I'd never see you again if I didn't give her the lamp.
EMPRESS: Are you OK?
JASMINE: I'm fine. I made a wish and managed to escape.
EMPRESS: All she wanted was an old lamp? Let me see.
JASMINE: There's a genie in it that grants wishes. Rub the lamp.
GENIE 1: Thank goodness we're out of there.
EMPRESS: Who are you?
GENIES: We're the genies of the lamp!
JASMINE: You grant three wishes don't you?
GENIE 2: Pre-Brexit we did.
GENIE 1: Now we only grant two!
GENIE 2: You have one wish left.
JASMINE: I love the sea so I'll help the fish. My wish is that all of the plastic be taken out of the ocean and recycled.
GENIE 1: Your wish is our command.
JASMINE: When the oceans clear of plastic, I'm going to try and find my pet octopus which I released in to the sea when he grew too big for his tank.
TIGER 3: She's saving the ocean.
TIGER 1: And not just for the halibut.
TIGER 2: You couldn't call her shellfish.
